The Epic Frostwing Finale...

Does anyone remember that scene from Independence Day when the heroes take down the alien mothership and save Earth from whatever grisly fate the aliens had in mind (and gave rise to one of the most often-quoted speeches in cinematic history)?

Now I’m not about to dabble in sci-fi, but I can’t recount the number of times when I’ve seen the protagonist of a movie or book take down the “queen” or “boss” and all their minions have simultaneously packed it in and died. Two examples that jump to mind are that one Avengers movie with the aliens and Loki, and that really weird film about the Great Wall of China.

Maybe it’s something psychological. Perhaps the existence of a “queen” is sometimes the fear that there’s something even bigger and deadlier than whatever unholy monster our heroes are currently facing (Like the Xenomorphs in Alien). Or we just like seeing the big, thrilling showdown between our hero and some larger-than-life, world-shattering threat.

But this time, it’s going to be a bit different.

When Ava Frostborn faced off against Jericho and his armada (edit: pick up book three here to avoid spoilers!), she certainly didn’t expect to attract so much attention from the coastal cities.

Because even as she makes the long trip back to the Inland to reunite with Wilf and her friends, these cities haven’t forgotten about her – and this time, not even Lacey and her bull dragon Drake will be able to protect them…

If Ava wants to save everything she’s ever cared about, she’ll need to summon the help of the Matriarch. But the queen of the dragons is no easy beast to find, and the future of the wilderness rests squarely on Ava’s shoulders.

So no pressure.

The big finale to the Frostwing Quadrilogy has just released on Amazon. I’m really excited to share this one with you, and if you’ve loved following Ava’s adventures so far, this book is one you certainly won’t want to miss.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

They call it the Matriarch.

The wild is changing – and Ava Frostborn once again finds herself at the heart of it. As rumors of her home reach the distant coastline, powerful cities stir from their slumber… and set their sights on the vulnerable Inland. An army marches, determined to conquer no matter the cost.

With time running out and their enemy drawing closer, Ava embarks on a last-ditch effort into Deep Wilderness on the hunt for an elusive new dragon – the only one with a hope of stopping the army.

But in these far-flung lands, the hunters have a knack for killing dragons. Ava soon finds herself with a target painted on her back. Unsure who she can trust and with her home on the line, the fate of the wild rests in her hands…
